Looking at some holiday snaps and selfies, I was ashamed to see what a state I have get my hair get into. I'm fussy with hairdressers, and since leaving my job at Strode College , where a fabulous final year student Cianni Brooke became my 'go to girl'- I haven't found anyone local who fits the bill. Cianni is still doing hair & beauty, and even came to my home once- but I find it hard to relax with the kids around. I prefer to visit a salon, it's more of a treat.
I'd heard about 'Leanne's Roots' but couldn't quite work out where it was. Finally, I found the Facebook page and worked out that you get to the salon via the street between Lloyds bank and HSBC. My goodness, what a hidden gem !
I went for a cut, colour and condition. Owner and manager, Leanne Lintern is fabulous. The 25 year old local entrepeneur went to Whitstone, before training at Strode College. Amazingly she the worked as an apprentice under Theresa Davies in this actual salon when it was called 'Classic Lines'.
When the opportunity came up for her to take over the lease, she jumped at the chance. Literally, going back to Leanne's 'roots' ! The salon also offers manicures, pedicures and waxing with beautician Michelle Sanders. Check out opening times, prices and special offers here at Leanne's Roots Facebook page
